THE GREAT DICHOTOMY THESE DAYS IS NOT BETWEEN LEFT AND RIGHT, CAPITALISM OR SOCIALISM, BUT RATHER BETWEEN THE LIBERTARIAN AND THE AUTHORITARIAN.

TWO TYPES of PEOPLE: Sheeple and Human Beings. Sheeple are obedient. They do as they are told. Sheepleare vaccinated, obey mandates & willingly surrender their freedoms. Human beings are the Canadian Truckers fighting fascist tyranny. What type of peopleare you?

In the early 21st century, two ideologies have coalesced in our political imaginations, causing furious contest. On the one side are the so-called "progressives": propelled by the dying energies of the Reformation and Age of Enlightenment, which culminated in the social and political revolutions of the late 20th Century. Reason and liberation is their game, and they believe the stage is being set for true global socialism, and the realization of Karl Marx's utopia.

Up against them stand the libertarians (who we might otherwise call bermensch in a nod to Friedrich Nietzsche), who welcome new innovations like 3D printing and cryptocurrency for the independence that it offers from government control.

Marx vs Nietzsche, solidarity vs sovereignty. Full Brexit vs the European Union. Justin Trudeau vs the Canadian truckers.

What side of the divide do you stand?

The Ring of Power

IN MY OPINION the Lord of the Rings is an allegory about power. The ring symbolizes absolute power, granting supremacy to whoever wears it. As the old expression goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely. What should you do if the ring ever falls into your grasp??? throw it away, as fast as possible!

Marx never predicted that in late stage capitalism, the ruling bourgeoisie identifies as socialist while the working class supports capitalism

The progressives started as radicals back in the 1960s, a time of unprecedented social change. No living generation was (or is) as groundbreaking as the Baby Boomers. Humanistic, benevolent, and uncompromising, they remade the world in their image. Institution after institution, culture and art were upended and overthrown in the name of liberty (for blacks and oppressed races, women, gay and lesbians, etc.) It is perhaps no coincidence that China's great Cultural Revolution occurred side by side with the protests of the West. It was part of the same global movement.

Once the underground becomes mainstream, it can be no longer be considered a radical cause.

Once the New World Order is everywhere (North Korea aside), explosion reverses into implosion, like Yang giving way abruptly to Yin.

All of a sudden, the progressives become the new regressives. They become the new repressives.

Humans are emotional beings, just like animals... we have a need for hate, just as we have a need for love. Without external enemies, we will start looking for internal enemies. When it comes to a crunch, however, the external enemies will always trump the internal enemies. If Putin invades Ukraine, the culture wars may suddenly cease to exist..

All the isms have been tried (on a mass scale) and found wanting... all of them except anarchism!

Horizontal federalism...
